Hemant earned his B.E. in Polymer Engineering from the University of Pune, India and an M.S. degree in Polymer Engineering from The University of Akron. During his graduate studies, Hemant's major concentration was thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPVs) and polymer layered silicate nanocomposites and polymer synthesis. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Hemant spent a year as an intern in the latex industry in the production, testing and quality control departments.
Since joining ARDL, Hemant has gained experience with rubber compounding, including formulation development for varied applications, problem solving and failure analysis, latex technology and nanocomposite material development using layered silicates, specifically with respect to rubbery polymer matrices. He is also involved in technical sales, service and marketing efforts. Hemant has co-authored several technical papers on thermoplastic elastomers and also on rubber-filler dispersion studies.
