Environmental, Health and Safety Manager
Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, Inc., an industry-leading independent testing laboratory for rubber, plastic and latex, is looking to fill the position of Environmental Health and Safety Manager. This position will oversee the company’s day-to-day aspects of Safety. Candidate must be self-motivated, energetic team player who will help cultivate a positive work environment. The individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining Environmental and Safety Programs, Hazardous Communication and Chemical Hygiene Plans, preparing, managing and distributing SDSs, conducting Safety Meetings and Safety Trainings, investigating and mitigating accidents, overseeing waste removal, interfacing with Human Resources regarding safety-sensitive issues, and other safety-related duties, as assigned. Experience should include dealing with OSHA and other regulatory bodies. Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word and Excel. Organization, attention to detail, flexibility, and strong ability to process multiple situations on any given day are required.
