Gas Chromatography & Mass Spectroscopy (GC/MS)

ARDL offers capabilities to determine volatile organic components in a polymer compound using methodologies and state-of-the-art equipment with sensitive and absolute means of compound identification.  ARDL’s equipment includes a CDS 5000 - Clarus 500 Gas Chromatograph System. This system provides a quick method for polymer analysis by Gas Chromatography with compound identification by FTIR or Mass Spectroscopy. Major advantages of the new technique include the minimal amounts of sample required and reduced sample preparation. With this instrument, as well as other techniques, we are capable of measuring volatiles including plasticizer, antidegradants, oils, waxes, etc.
