Laboratory Technician – Chemical Services

Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, Inc., an independent polymer testing laboratory, is looking for a Laboratory Technician for our Chemical Services department. Previous experience in a chemistry related field and familiarity with polymers, experience with GC/MS operation, sample preparation, pyrolysis-GC/MS operation and other chromatographic techniques is a plus. Candidate must be a self-motivated, energetic team player who will help cultivate a positive work environment and require little supervision. Laboratory Technician – Engineering

Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, Inc., an industry-leading independent testing laboratory for rubber, plastic and latex, is looking to fill the position of Laboratory Technician working in our Engineering Department. The right candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, communication and listening skills and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must be self-motivated, energetic team player who will help cultivate a positive work environment. Technicians are expected to prepare samples for rubber testing, become familiar with and perform standard rubber tests within our engineering department’s scope of accreditation, and set-up or assist engineers with nonstandard or custom testing as needed. Testing requires use of hand and power tools, data entry and some data processing. This full-time position offers medical, dental and vision benefits, 401(k) and paid vacation. Laboratory Technician – Mixing & Molding

Experience in lab-scale mixing, milling, curing black and colored rubber, running a rheometer/ viscometer and compounding is a plus; however, we will train the right person. Rubber Chemist – Senior Technical Advisor

Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, Inc., an industry-leading independent testing and consulting laboratory for rubber, plastic and latex, is looking to fill the position of Rubber Chemist – Sr. Technical Advisor. If you have the passion for solving rubber/polymer problems, you will instantly feel at home among our team of rubber and plastic experts, with the best technicians and testing equipment at our disposal. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in rubber compounding, chemical analysis, physical/mechanical testing, management and consulting in various segments of the rubber industry. This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment interacting with customers on the phone, in-person and via email.
