Ed Terrill

Ed received his BS in Chemistry from Ursinus College and his PhD in Polymer Science from The University of Akron. He is a leading authority in the area of chemical degradation mechanisms in rubber during aging. Ed pioneered the use of modulus profiling and oxidation models for tire applications and invented a liquid polyester industrial fiber for which he obtained two patents. His professional experience includes over 20 years with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in the Polyester, Tire Physics and Compound Science Departments as well as experience with the EI DuPont deNemours & Co in the Textile Fibers Pioneering Research Laboratory. Ed holds 3 patents, two trade secrets and has authored 6 publications in polymer science.
