Ozone Resistance

ARDL has numerous chambers to test your product or material for Ozone degradation under a variety of Ozone concentrations and temperatures. ARDL can test your materials to estimate the ability of a rubber compound to withstand the effects of weathering or atmosphere exposure under controlled amounts of ozone. Measurements are made on the surface cracking of the material to estimate performance in service applications. Our experts will work with you to determine the appropriate specification or exposure time and level.

ARDL also has the ability to perform accelerated time/exposure ozone tests to help customers with producer/consumer acceptance, referee purposes, research and development. The tests are performed under surface tensile strain conditions, either dynamic or static, in an atmosphere containing a specified concentration of ozone.
